Project #4
|
When I saw the new Spring Ribbon Assortment, I knew I needed to use it with the Petal Paper to make a spring card!
Using the pale yellow petal paper, fold in half and trim to about 5 1/2" by 6".
Choose several of the spring ribbons that co-ordinate with the paper and cut strips approximately 3" long.
Using an ordinary glue stick, tack the ribbons in place (the glue stick doesn't get in the way when you are sewing, like double-sided adhesive would).
Cut a piece of vellum about 3" by 3 1/2" and stamp "all my love" on it with permanent ink, allowing adequate drying time before handling (remember, vellum is non-porous so it will take several minutes for the ink to dry).
Place vellum over the ribbons and sew with sewing machine set on a wide zig-zag stitch.
